After working at different firms in New York City and upon their moves to Los Angeles, David E. Martin and Anthony Poon founded the architectural studio of Martin / Poon Architects in 2000. Together, their portfolio of completed works includes the finest residential estates around the world—from France to Austria, from New York to California. Featured in numerous publications, monographs, and Architectural Digest, the work of Martin / Poon Architects acknowledges the traditions of our past, embraces the significance of the present, and contemplates the influences of the future.

David E. Martin, California-licensed architect, received his Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Washington, and his Bachelor of Science from Whitworth University, also attending Occidental College. Mr. Martin began his professional career in Rome, then Paris, later working for nearly two decades with the world-acclaimed I.M. Pei and Partners for projects in Paris, Lyons, as well as Beijing, China.

Anthony Poon, AIA, LEED–accredited California and Virginia-licensed architect, received his Master of Architecture from Harvard University, and his Bachelor of Arts from University of California, Berkeley, Magna Cum Laude. Mr. Poon was awarded one of the highest honors from The American Institute of Architects, the 2018 Design Award for Best in Housing in North America. Anthony is a classically-trained pianist, a published author, and a mixed-media artist.

Anthony also launched his independent practice of Poon Design Inc., www.poondesign.com, focusing on contemporary homes, educational and religious clients, commercial and institutional projects, and mixed-use developments.
